We are partnering with a nationally recognized defense firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a busy, deadline-driven insurance defense practice in its San Diego office. This role offers a stable, long-term opportunity to contribute directly to case strategy by managing discovery, organizing medical records, drafting subpoenas, and supporting litigation teams through trial preparation. What You'll Do

  • Obtain, track, and organize medical records through authorizations and subpoenas, ensuring timely follow-up with providers.
  • Manage discovery workflows by maintaining organized records charts, conducting public records research, and performing background investigations.
  • Analyze and summarize medical records and transcripts, creating treatment chronologies and clear written reports that support case strategy.
  • Handle document productions by reviewing, analyzing, and organizing materials from opposing parties and preparing complete sets for expert review.
  • Maintain structured, up-to-date case files and collaborate closely with attorneys and staff to support smooth case progression and deadline management.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • 4+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with strong insurance defense background.
  • Billing experience with familiarity in law-firm productivity standards and timekeeping expectations.
  • Proven ability to draft subpoenas and maintain accurate tracking of records received.
  • Strong writing skills with clear, professional communication across all case materials.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment while managing competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to organize and manage large volumes of case documents.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case-management software platforms.

Role at a Glance

  • Employment Type: Full-time, Direct-Hire
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Hybrid Schedule: 4 days onsite/1 remote after the onboarding phase

  • Compensation: $65,000-$85,000 annually (doe)
